Our story is quite simple. We had a desire to share a cloth that is better than any cloth we have ever used and was environmentally friendly. We started to do a little research and were shocked to see how people were cleaning their kitchens. We were even more shocked to find out how many tons of paper towels were being used annually (2.5 million tons) and filling up our landfills.
We are two stay-at-home moms living in Encinitas, California. Our children have begun Elementary school and we have a little extra time. We decided that this would be the perfect time to start our business.
We have been working and researching for almost a year on our product. We have such passion for this cloth because we believe that it is the best thing out there.
‘The idea originated when Michelle was living in Europe in the late 90’s. She discovered a product that was similar to the SKOY cloth and it was just amazing. Over time she found the cloth to be indispensible. When she moved back to the US, she realized that the use of a sponge was inadequate and the excessive use of paper towels, wasteful. Michelle searched and searched for a similar cloth and nothing even compared; nothing was of the same caliber. This is when Michelle introduced the cloth to Karen. She immediately fell in love with it and could not imagine cleaning with anything else.’
We then put our heads together and discussed a way to bring this product to the US with the requirement that it meet our high standard. Now we are so excited to be able to offer the SKOY cloth to you—which is everything that we had hoped it would be.
Over the last few months I have been trying very hard to reduce the waste we go through, and to also reduce the chemicals that we use. Until recently I never though about how much paper towel or napkins we go through to soak up a skill or wipe up the counter, clean the windows. I also have been going through sponges left and right cleaning the sink and dishes, because my new pots and pans have to be hand washed.
Skoy Cloths have made life easier, they have taken anything I have thrown at them and still work like they are brand new. I have used them to clean the house, do the dishes, clean up the never ending spills in a house with 3 kids. I love how easy they are to use and how easy they are to take care of.

USE
Wet your SKOY cloth before using. Be sure to squeeze out the excess water for optimal absorption. It can be used with popular household cleaners, but works just as well with water.
Note: Rinse cloth very well when combined with dish soap in order not to leave residue.
We recommend that after your SKOY cloth has passed its prime, it can be used as a rag for heavier cleaning. Chlorine-use is not recommended.
CARE
The SKOY can be cleaned in your dishwasher and is washer and dryer safe up to 90°C (190°F).
Another option to keep your SKOY cloth germ-free is to microwave it daily when damp for 1-2 minutes. This will also remove possible bad smell that is caused by bacteria. Remember your SKOY cloth must be wet when microwaving for best effect and to avoid risk for fires. The SKOY cloth will be extremely hot when removing from the microwave so please use caution and wait a moment. Immediately run under cool water to rinse.
Note: Make sure the SKOY cloth is wet when microwaving to avoid fires.
Warning: The SKOY cloth can be extremely hot when removing from the microwave.
Easy to use and a wonderful product thank you SKOY for allowing me to do this review.
