Brio My First Railway Set Preview
About the Brio Railway:
The Brio My First Railway Set is the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of trains! Made from high quality materials the set consists of three wagons, an engine and a house (15 pieces in total).
A great introduction to the wonderful Brio wooden railway set range!
Product Features :
  • Fabric house with tunnel
  • 3 fun carriages which have banana, apple and pear designs
  • 8 pieces of track and 2 ramp tracks
  • 1330mm length in total
  • Train can go through the padded house
  • 2 track guides included

I love how easy this set is to put together, and the many ways it can be used as well. Z loves to play with this track with all this trains.  I love that the wood pieces hold but to the banging around they get in the toy boy or at the hands of a 3 year old boy.  I find the set to be very cute and the tunnel is made of a soft material which makes it much safer for toddlers them the wooden ones. In my house if Z gets mad he will throw something it's a habit I'm fast working at, but thankfully the softness doesn't hurt any other child. The  Brio  my first railway is priced at £19.99 which translates to 24.93 American dollars. Not to badly priced.

Hello Baby Direct also carries  a wonderful selection of Toys in many categories.

Prepare your Homes for Spring

Prepare your Homes for Spring Easily
Article submitted by Christina Johnson

As the cold winter weather comes to an end, warm springtime weather approaches and with it, spring cleaning. There are many things that can be done inside the home while waiting for the outside to warm up.

It is a good idea to check your HVAC system.  Replacing air filters is an easy do-it-yourself item.  Consult a professional about checking the Freon levels in the HVAC to make sure they are sufficient for the upcoming summer months.  You definitely do not want the air conditioning to stop working when it is 90 degrees outside!

With the warm weather approaching, more time will be spent looking outside.  It is a good idea to clean the windows, inside and outside throughout the house.  Any window treatments should also be cleaned and dusted.  If there are window screens that were removed during the winter months, now is the time to put them back up.

Preparing the bedrooms involves putting away heavy winter items.  These would include heavy blankets and comforters.  It is a good idea to clean them before packing them away until the next winter.  Winter clothes can also be packed away and lighter summer clothes can be unpacked.

A thorough inspection of the bathroom is recommended once a year.  Look at the caulk around the seams and see if any maintenance or repairs are needed.  Examine the flooring to see if any repairs are needed, especially if the flooring is tile.  Grout between the tiles can get damaged over time and may need to be fixed. If there is a shower curtain, examine it to see if it needs to be cleaned or replaced. Constant, everyday use of this room can definitely cause some wear and tear but can be easily fixed.

Living Areas

If there are ceiling fans in the living areas, it is a good idea to clean and dust them if they have not been used for a while.  Consider having any cloth covered furniture steam cleaned.  If there are carpets or rugs, have them cleaned also. Now is also a good time to check the smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.  Batteries should be changed and tested at least once a year to make sure everything is working correctly. All of these items should be taken care of once a year, so why not do it now when you are focused on cleaning?

Spring-cleaning offers a time to catch up on any deferred maintenance on the house that may have been neglected during the winter months.  Once you have the inside of the house ready, then you can move to the outside of the house and yard.

The First Years Color Changing Sippy Cup R/G

My son and I recently got the chance to try out a great new product. The First Years Magic Color Changing Cups.Since my son still uses sippy cups it's less mess for a very active  little boy. He's recently developed a love of toy story , So we were even more thrilled to learn not only did these cups change colors but they also had fun characters to.

My son loves these, and I think when the weather warms up it will be great to make sure he always has a cool drink.  They are the perfect size to stick in a pocket of a diaper bag. They really are spill proof and I love that there is no stopper to wash separately. Mr.Z is some days determined to have a certain cup and will throw a huge fit if he doesn't get what he wants and while I try not to give in to these battles I am more then happy to be able to just grab the top and a cup out of the dishwasher and go.

These are great cups and available in many fun designs

The First Years coloring changing cups are available at Target,Walmart,Kohls,Kmart,Toys R Us and Babies R us.
