With smaller wrists larger watches don't look very nice on me because of this,and I have never been a fan of having my arm pinched by the stretchy bands. I should also mention that over the last few years, I have gone through several watches, most have bands that break super easy, and the rest were the stretchy bands.

Since I never remember to take my watch or any other jewelery off when I am bathing the kids, or loading the dishwasher.
Since I have 2 bouncy toddlers who are rather rough it's also nice that my Deuce Brand Watch is shock resistant.
